The drip marketing for Version 1.6 is out, and Hoyo have revealed three new characters: Silver Soldier – Anby, Trigger, and Pulchra.
Trigger is a new Electric Stun Agent from the OBOL Squad, the same faction as Soldier 11. Before Trigger’s reveal, Soldier 11 was the only Agent part of the OBOL Squad faction. Trigger was teased all the way back in Version 1.0 during Soldier 11’s story quest. From this, we know that she is a Sniper, which is an interesting fact when combined with her Stun specialty reveal.
While Trigger’s rarity has not been confirmed, it would be more than likely that she is S Rank.
Pulchra is the third Agent revealed so far, and she’s part of the Sons of Calydon. It’s possible that Pulchra is S Rank and Trigger is A Rank, but that would be a weird way to introduce the next member of the OBOL Squad.
Lastly, because of Trigger’s release alongside SS Anby, it’s very likely that the two will work well in tandem. SS Anby is Attack, and Trigger is a Stunner. This release timing is similar to the release of Zhu Yuan + Qingyi, where the two released next to each other (and are from the same faction) and also synergize together very well.
ZZZ Trigger Release Date
Trigger will release in Version 1.6, which launches on March 12th, 2025. We don’t know if she will be in the first half or second half, but based on reveal order, she will likely be in the second half of the patch.

Trigger ZZZ Build Guide Overview
Without knowing Trigger’s exact kit, it will be tough to recommend a build for her. She could increase her Impact stat with other stats like ATK, she could be a Stunner focused on EX Special, or maybe even stunning while off-field like Burnice for Anomaly application.
All of these factors will determine how Trigger is built, so I’ll refrain from recommending too many things at the current moment. Once we know more about Trigger’s kit, I’ll update this article to reflect new learnings.

ZZZ Trigger Best W-Engines
As usual, Signature Engines are almost always best in slot for any limited character (Assuming Trigger is S Rank). For Utility Agents like Stun/Support/Defense, these Engines usually result in a small damage increase for the entire team combined with some extra personal damage.
In general for newer accounts, we recommend pulling for Signature Engines first on your DPS Agents. This will result in a larger performance increase, but you could argue that utility Engines are more flexible.
Depending on Trigger’s kit, there may be good options that are more accessible like Steam Oven/Fossil (Craftable) or Hellfire Gears/Restrained (Standard S Rank). If these Engines perform closely with her signature, it could be recommended to skip the Engine banner.
ZZZ Trigger Drive Discs
Assuming ZZZ sticks with its Drive Disc schedule, Version 1.6 should introduce two new Drive Disc sets. One of these sets could work very well with Trigger, but that remains to be seen.
There are still good options already in the game such as:
- Shockstar Disco (Stun faster)
- Swing Jazz/Astral Voice/Proto Punk (Stun slower but allows team to deal more damage)

Stat recommendations are usually straightforward, but for utility Agents, their kit matters a lot to what stats you want. Check back later to see what the best build is for Trigger.
ZZZ Trigger Teams
Trigger + Anby
As previously mentioned, the likely synergy will be between SS Anby and Trigger. Even though SS Anby’s faction is unknown, it could be a similar situation to Jane Doe + NEPS (Seth/Qingyi/Zhu Yuan), where Jane was an undercover investigator for NEPS.
In a similar fashion, SS Anby could have a slightly new Faction, but it will likely have some tie to the OBOL Squad.
Trigger + Standard Attackers
Outside of SS Anby, Trigger can potentially “buff” older characters that don’t have a dedicated limited team. Soldier 11 and Trigger will be from the same faction, but Soldier 11 already has Lighter as an amazing Stunner.
For characters like Nekomata and Billy, there are Stunners like Qingyi or Caesar who can buff them up, but Trigger may be equivalent, better, or worse. Lastly, Piper (and to some extent Jane) could also potentially benefit from a Stunner.
However, when it comes to Anomaly, most teams run some sort of Disorder setup rather than a Stun setup. Even still, the team is still possible even if it might not be optimal.
Hypothetical Miyabi Team
Lastly, let’s talk about this potential team. If Trigger and Rina have enough Electric Anomaly application, they can potentially be a good duo to pair with Miyabi. We see a similar situation with Astra + Nicole for Ether/Corruption, and that team works extremely well with Miyabi.
For this team, Rina is somewhat similar to Nicole as a Support, but Nicole appears to apply more Anomaly with her EX Special than Rina. For this team to work well, Trigger would need to be good at applying Electric Anomaly either through off-field mechanics or through quick moves that can be swapped into and out of quickly.
I highly doubt that Trigger + Rina will perform similarly to Nicole + Astra, and the team may not work well at all, but there is potential to be explored.
Wrap Up
This wraps up my initial impressions on Trigger. As a Stunner, Trigger will more than likely find a home in Attack based teams, but she can theoretically fit in Anomaly teams if the Anomaly application is high enough.
Furthermore, some older characters that don’t have premium teams may find synergy with Trigger. A lot remains to be seen about her kit and how she interacts with other Agents, so don’t your hopes up too much.
It’s very possible she works well with SS Anby and is only decent with other Agents.
