    Argenti Character Guide

    Argenti Introduction

Argenti is a Path of Erudition Physical damage character released in patch 1.5.

Argenti is an Area of Effect focused damaged dealer who excels vs a large number of enemies who can be dispatched quickly. His main mechanic allows him to store beyond 90 energy for his Ultimate and deal bonus damage if he reaches 180 energy.

Additionally, he gains energy and a stacking crit buff per enemy hit and gains additional energy as new enemies enter the encounter. Argenti can be a very powerful choice when he is strong enough to quickly clear waves of enemies, further increasing his ability to regain energy and clear future waves with his ultimate.

This means a highly invested Argenti can be very good for speed farming. However, Argenti does not appear to be as powerful as some of the other premier 5* options and for most players is a solid option but not a must pull unless they like the character.

    Why Play Argenti?

    Pros

    • Has no limit on the number of enemies he hits
    • Gains energy rapidly when fighting lots of enemies making him great for speed clearing
    • Scales off ATK/Crit which are universal DPS stats many players may have farmed already
    • Decent single target damage with his ultimate due to the bounces repeatedly hitting the same target

    Cons

    • Selfish carry that provides no additional party support
    • Highly replaceable with other hyper carries
    • Loses a lot of his energy regeneration vs strong single target enemies

    At a Glance

Argenti generally prioritizes building Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK% and SPD. Argenti is great against lots of weak enemies and can be an excellent choice for speed clearing with enough investment. He also will be a very strong damage dealer for the upcoming game mode: Pure Fiction.

    Abilities

    Basic ATK – Fleeting Fragrance

    Fleeting Fragrance

Deals Physical DMG equal to 50%—110% of Argenti’s ATK to a single target enemy.

    Skill – Justice, Hereby Blooms

    Justice, Hereby Blooms

Deals Physical DMG equal to 60%—132% of Argenti’s ATK to all enemies.

Ultimate – For In This Garden Supreme Beauty Bestows / Merit Bestowed in “My” Garden

For In This Garden Supreme Beauty Bestows

Consumes 90 Energy and deals Physical DMG equal to 96%—172.8% of Argenti’s ATK to all enemies.

    Merit Bestowed in My Garden

Consumes 180 Energy and deals Physical DMG equal to 168%—302.4% of Argenti’s ATK to all enemies, and further deals DMG for 6 extra time(s), with each time dealing Physical DMG equal to 57%—102.6% of Argenti’s ATK to a random enemy.

    Talent – Sublime Object

    Sublime Object

For every enemy hit when Argenti uses his Basic Attack, Skill, or Ultimate, regenerates Argenti’s Energy by 3, and grants him a stack of Ascend, increasing his CRIT Rate by 1%—2.8%. This effect can stack up to 10 time(s).

Technique – Manifesto of Purest Virtue

    Manifesto of Purest Virtue

After using the Technique, enemies in a set area are inflicted with Daze for 10 second(s). Dazed enemies will not actively attack the team. When attacking a Dazed enemy to enter combat, deals Physical DMG to all enemies equal to 80% of Argenti’s ATK and regenerates his Energy by 15.

    Traces

    Piety

    Piety

At the start of a turn, immediately gains 1 stack(s) of Ascend.
    Requires Character Ascension 2

    Generosity

    Generosity

    Requires Character Ascension 4

    Courage

    Courage

Deals 15% more DMG to enemies whose HP percentage is 50% or less.
    Requires Character Ascension 6

    Eidolons

Argenti is a powerful character without any Eidolons and does not need them to excel. However for those looking to spend or save more additional copies of Argenti there are some added benefits. Argenti will perform well at E0 but here is a quick assessment of her Eidolons:

    • E1 – high impact
    • E2 – low impact
    • E3 – medium impact
    • E4 – low impact
    • E5 – medium impact
    • E6 – high impact

Eidolon 1: A Lacuna in Kingdom of Aesthetics

Each stack of Ascend additionally increases CRIT DMG by 4%.

    Eidolon 2: Agate’s Humility

If the number of enemies on the field equals to 3 or more when the Ultimate is used, ATK increases by 40% for 1 turn(s).

    Eidolon 3: Thorny Road’s Glory

Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.

    Eidolon 4: Trumpet’s Dedication

At the start of battle, gains 2 stack(s) of Ascend and increases the maximum stack limit of the Talent’s effect by 2.

Eidolon 5: Snow, From Somewhere in Cosmos

Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.

    Eidolon 6: “Your” Resplendence

When using Ultimate, ignores 30% of the enemy target’s DEF.

    Relics

    Stat Priority

Argenti scales primarily off of ATK and Crit making him a fairly traditional character to build. SPD is also a good option for Argenti as it helps him generate energy more quickly.

Argenti ’s general stat priority is:

    • Crit Rate/Crit DMG
    • ATK %
    • SPD

Ideal Main Stats by Relic Type:

    • Body: Crit DMG or Crit Rate
    • Feet: SPD or ATK%
    • Planar Sphere: Physical DMG% or ATK%
    • Link Rope: ATK %

    Cavern of Corrosion Sets

Set bonuses should ultimately just be thought of as additional substats, and the weight of 4-Pc sets is very low. Mixing and matching two different 2-Pc bonuses can often be more optimal than completing a 4-Pc set bonus if it allows you to use substantially better relics. It is recommended to use gear optimizers to assess which Relic pieces to use.

    Champion of Streetwise Boxing

    Champion of Streetwise Boxing

2 Piece: Increases Physical DMG by 10%.
4 Piece: After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 time(s).

Both the two and four piece bonuses are quite excellent for Argenti making this his best in slot set, but there are several good 2pc combinations that can be preferred if they have better substats.

    Musketeer of Wild Wheat

    Musketeer of Wild Wheat

2 Piece: ATK increases by 12%.
4 Piece: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

The two and four piece bonuses both work well for Argenti as he wants both ATK% and SPD.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Champion of Streetwise Boxing

2 Piece: Increases Physical DMG by 10%.
2 Piece: ATK increases by 12%.

Physical DMG and ATK% are both excellent choices for Argenti.

Champion of Streetwise Boxing and Messenger Traversing Hackerspace

Honkai Star Rail Messenger Traversing Hackerspace

2 Piece: Increases SPD by 6%.
4 Piece: Increases Physical DMG by 10%.

SPD and Physical DMG are both strong stats for Argenti.

    Planar Ornament Sets

    Rutilant Arena

    Rutilant Arena

2 Piece: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, the wearer’s Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by 20%.

Rutilant Arena is a very strong set for any DPS that cares about crit and Argenti is no exception. Additionally, Argenti’s stacking Crit buff makes it easier to reach the 70% CRIT threshold.

    Firmament Frontline: Glamoth

    Firmament_Frontline_Glamoth

2-Piece: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG.

Firmament is an excellent option so long as players meet at least the 135 SPD requirement for the set bonus as it offers both ATK% and DMG%.

    Inert Salsotto

    Inert Salsotto

2-Piece: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.

Inert Salsotto is a close second for players who already have it farmed, but Rutilant is generally preferred and it’s not worth going out of your way to farm Salsotto for Argenti.

    Space Sealing Station

    Space Sealing Station

2 Piece: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s ATK increases by another 12%.

The ATK% bonus is well utilized by Argenti.

    Light Cones

An Instant Before a Gaze (5*)

    An Instant Before a Gaze

Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36~60%. When the wearer uses Ultimate, increases the wearer’s Ultimate DMG based on their max energy. Each point of Energy increases the Ultimate DMG by 0.36~0.60%, up to 180 points of Energy.
Argenti’s featured light cone is custom made for him and gives him everything he needs. This is his best in slot by a large margin as is the case for most featured Light Cones.

Today Is Another Peaceful Day (4*)

    Today is Another Peaceful Day

After entering battle, increases the wearer’s DMG based on their Max Energy. DMG increases by 0.20% per point of Energy, up to 160 Energy.
This cone is a great option for those who purchase Nameless Honor. Argenti’s ultimate costing 180 energy gets excellent use out of the passive.

    The Seriousness of Breakfast (4*)

    The Seriousness of Breakfast

Increases the wearer’s DMG by 12%. For every defeated enemy, the wearer’s ATK increases by 4%, stacking up to 3 time(s).
This light cone is the best free to play option and still performs quite well compared to other options.

    Teammates

Argenti is best played as a traditional hyper carry with 2 offensive supports and a defensive support to maximize his offensive abilities.

    Offensive Supports

    • Tingyun – High Synergy
Tingyun is one of the best supports for Argenti because she buffs damage for Argenti and provides Energy, allowing him to empower his ultimate more easily.
    • Bronya – High Synergy
Argenti getting more actions helps him gain energy and ultimate more frequently. As with many carries Bronya is a premier option.
    • Hanya – High Synergy
Hanya’s burden is easily triggered by Argenti and grants more skill points for the entire team. The ATK% and SPD buffs are also well utilized by Argenti.
    • Pela – High Synergy
Pela’s AoE defense shred is well utilized by Argenti and can help clear waves of enemies.
    • Yukong – High Synergy
Yukong’s kit giving lots of benefits to a small number of actions pairs very well with Argenti’s empowered ultimate making Yukong a great choice so long as players ensure Argenti’s ultimate is being buffed consistently.
    • Silver Wolf – Medium Synergy
Silver Wolf’s single target focus does not pair as well with Argenti, but can help him vs non-physical weak single target encounters.

    Defensive Supports

    • Huohuo – High Synergy
Huohuo granting energy recharge and ATK buffs synergizes very well with Argenti and helps him perform his buffed ultimate more quickly. Huohuo is the best option for defensive support for Argenti, but other options also exist.
    • Luocha – Medium Synergy
Luocha is a very powerful healer and works nicely with any team, Argenti being no exception. Luocha can usually sustain the party with minimal Skill Point usage.
    • Fu Xuan – Meidum Synergy
Fu Xuan with good investment should offer enough sustain for Argenti teams to stay highly survivable, additionally Fu Xuan’s crit buffs are a nice asset for Argenti.
    • Bailu – Medium Synergy
Bailu is another extremely powerful 5* healer, and her high raw healing output means she can often sustain the party with minimal to no Skill Point usage, making her an excellent choice as a defensive support.
    • Lynx – Medium Synergy
Lynx is an excellent 4* healer that can help sustain Argenti’s teams. She is generally preferred over Natasha due to her greater survivability and party utility.

    Sample Team Comps

Argenti Hyper: Argenti, Bronya, Tingyun, Huohuo

Tingyun and Huohuo help feed Argenti energy which helps him ultimate and clear waves even faster. All of the characters help buff Argenti’s offensive capabilities and allow him to really shine as a hyper carry.

Argenti Hyper – F2P Friendly: Argenti, Pela, Tingyun, Lynx

This team is also focused on maximizing Argenti’s hyper carry potential but uses more 4* characters. Asta, Hanya and Yukong can also be substituted in the offensive support slots depending on the encounter and the user’s account.

    Wrap Up

That concludes everything you need to know about Argenti. We hope this guide was useful and helps you clear Memory of Chaos and Pure Fiction.
