Harmony Trailblazer: Guide, Skills, Builds, Teams & More
Harmony Trailblazer (shortened as HMC) is a strong Free-to-play Support that all players will get access to by simply playing the story. For most players, Harmony Trailblazer is a gateway to the Super Break archetype, being the prototype of future support units for Super Break Damage Dealers.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Release Date
Harmony Trailblazer will be unlocked naturally from the story progression. Their Eidolons will also be available via story progression, all the way to E6.
Harmony Trailblazer HSR Kit Overview (Trace Level 10)
Harmony Trailblazer is an enabler of the Super Break mechanic, which is basically a conversion of normal Toughness Damage into a damage instance and is gatekept by a few specific units. For Harmony Trailblazer, they grant this ability via her Ultimate – All-Out Footlight Parade. Upon use, this Ultimate grants all allies a buff called Backup Dancer, which lasts for 3 turns of Harmony Trailblazer. Allies with Backup Dancer will get a 30% increase to their Break Effect.
Whenever they attack enemies that are already weakness broken, they will deal Super Break damage corresponding to the Toughness Damage of their attacks. Backup Dancer can be further improved via Trailblazer’s first major trace – Dance With The One. This trace increases the Super Break damage caused by Backup Dancer by 20% to 60%, depending on the number of enemies (from more than 5 to 1, respectively) on the battlefield.
This Ultimate is the center of Harmony Trailblazer’s game plan, and the other parts of their kits work to supplement it. Harmony Trailblazer’s Talent – Full-on Aerial Dance has a very simple way of recovering their Energy by 10 whenever an enemy is Weakness Broken, which lets them spam their Ultimate in content with a lot of enemies. Halftime to Make It Rain is a Bounce attack that deals a total of 5 hits, with the latter 4 hits being random.
The multiplier value of this skill is negligible, but since it has very solid Toughness Damage, it actually deals quite notable damage against Weakness Broken enemies while under the Backup Dancer buff.
Their second major trace – Shuffle Along increases the Toughness Damage of the first hit of the Skill by 100%, further leaning into this aspect. Last but not least, Hat of the Theater – their third major trace will delay the enemies by 30% when they are Weakness Broken, which extends the damage window for Super Break. Harmony Trailblazer’s Technique is also quite simplistic, granting a 30% Break Effect buff to all allies at the start of the battle.
At the time they were released, Harmony Trailblazer served both as a gateway to the Super Break team and as an indispensable part of this archetype. As a Free-to-play unit with a very simplistic gameplay loop, they helps make the Super Break team very accessible to a large part of the playerbase, and even enables certain characters with high Toughness Damage to be Super Break Damage Dealer, such as Himeko, and the return was quite high for its investment level.
Nonetheless, as their buff value is not that high, Harmony Trailblazer gradually loses out to modern Super Break support units like The Dahlia and Fugue, characters that are much needed improvements to the archetype’s ceilling to keep up with the powercreep happening.
Harmony Trailblazer HSR Core Skills

Skill – Lick… Halftime to Make It Rain: Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 50% of the Trailblazer’s ATK to one designated enemy target and additionally deals DMG for 4 times, with each time dealing Imaginary DMG equal to 50% of the Trailblazer’s ATK to a random enemy.

Eidolon Priority
Since all of HMC’s Eidolons are all obtainable via Story Progression and Exploration, all players should strive to get all of their Eidolons as soon as possible. Despite being a free character, HMC has quite a decent set of Eidolons.
Their E1 refunds a Skill Point after their first Skill usage, which is handy but nothing game-changing. Their E2 gives an Energy Regeneration Rate buff to themselves for 3 turns at the start of the battle, which helps prop up their first Ultimate quickly. Their E4 improves their buffing capacity by giving 15% of her Break Effect to all allies, which further incentivizes them to maximize their own Break Effect. Their E6 may looks plain at first glance, but it is actually a notable boost to both the damage Energy Regeneration to her Skill.

Premium Options

Dance! Dance! Dance!: When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies’ actions are Advanced Forward by 16/18/20/22/24%.
With how spammable their Ultimate is and how valuable Action Advance is for Super Break Damage Dealers to dish out more damage within specific timeframe, Dance Dance Dance is the perfect Light Cone for HMC.

Past Self in Mirror: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 60/70/80/90/100%. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases all allies’ DMG by 24/28/32/36/40%, lasting for 3 turns. Should the wearer’s Break Effect exceed or equal 150%, 1 Skill Point will be recovered. At the start of each wave, immediately regenerates 10/12.5/15/17.5/20 Energy for all allies. Effects of the same type cannot stack.
Some Super Break team can be very Skill Points intensive, and HMC often has more than enough Break Effect to trigger this Light Cone effect every time with their Ultimate. Furthermore, the massive boost in Break Effect is also not to be underestimated.

In Pursuit of the Wind: After entering battle, increases all allies’ Break DMG dealt by 16/18/20/22/24%. Abilities of the same type cannot stack.
This Light Cone provides a quite rare Break Damage amplification boost and is permanent, which makes it very useful when it comes to raw damage boosting for the whole team.

Memories of the Past: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 28/35/42/49/56%. When the wearer attacks, additionally regenerates 4/5/6/7/8 Energy. This effect can only be triggered 1 time per turn.
One of the better “cheap” options for Harmony Trailblazer as many players can get it via just pulling the gacha. It provides both a sizable Break Effect boost and Energy Regeneration to HMC.
F2P Options

Meshing Cogs: After the wearer uses attacks or gets hit, additionally regenerates 4/5/6/7/8 Energy. This effect can only be triggered 1 time per turn.
A rather uninspiring but can be useful option for Energy Regeneration.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Main Stats
- Body: HP% / Def%
- Feet: Speed
- Orb: HP% / Def%
- Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate% / Break Effect%
Like many Super Break units, HMC only scales off two stats in general: Speed and Break Effect. For both body & Orb, HP% / Def% is best for survivability (especially when they are used in a sustainless Break team). For boot, Speed boot is a must to give her more actions, and HMC is naturally quite Speedy. For Rope, Harmony Trailblazer can run both Energy Regeneration Rate and Break Effect rope, with the former being betterwhen used with specific Light Cones that have great Ultimate-related effect – such as Dance Dance Dance; while the latter gives better damage and buff to the team.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Sub Stats
- Speed
- Break Effect
For substats, players should also look for as much Speed / Break Effect% as possible. Harmony Trailblazer does not have a specific break point in terms of stats to hit, since it varies from team to team as well, and different enemies’ layouts will affect how much Speed she wants to hit. A generally useful and reachable Speed threshold is around 160 – 168 Speed to combine with different forms of Advance / Speed buff that the team can give.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Relics
Option A
Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge

- 2-Pc: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
- 4-Pc: When the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, Break Effect for all allies increases by 30% for 2 turn(s). This effect cannot be stacked.
This set is made for Harmony Trailblazer. It provides both a raw Break Effect for themselves but also a teamwide Break Effect boost upon using their Ultimate.
Option B
Eagle of Twilight Line

- 2-Pc: Increases Wind DMG by 10%.
- 4-Pc: After the wearer uses their Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25%.
Since HMC’s Ultimate is very spammable, they are a natural candidate for the Eagle set, which can provide them extra turns when used in conjunction with the Dance Dance Dance Light Cone.
Option C
Thief of Shooting Meteor

- 2-Pc: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
- 4-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.
A good placeholder set that gives a lot of Break Effect and occasionally some Energy refund.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Planar Sets
Option A
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry

- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer’s Break Effect increases by an extra 20%.
Since HMC build Speed anyway, they can fulfill the condition of this set very easily for a massive 36% Break Effect boost in total.
Option B
Sprightly Vonwacq

- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s action is Advanced Forward by 40% immediately upon entering battle.
A good set for modes that require HMC to moves immediately upon entering battle to save some Action Value and get their Ultimate going. The extra Energy Regeneration Rate is also very handy.
Option C
Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern

- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s SPD by 6%. When the wearer hits an enemy target that has Fire Weakness, the wearer’s Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn(s).
This set should be used when HMC is fighting Fire-weak enemies, or when paired with units that can implant Fire Weakness, such as Firefly and The Dahlia. Both of its effects are good generically.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Teammates
Harmony Trailblazer is only used in Super Break / Break teams. They work best with Super Break Damage Dealers.
Main DPS

Firefly: At her release, HMC was tailor-made to be a Firefly Support, as Firefly has great Toughness Damage to take advantage of HMC’s Super Break modifier and action advance via Dance Dance Dance. With the release of The Dahlia and Fugue, HMC is still good with Firefly, just not the best option anymore, but players can still use them as the third Support in a sustain-less Break team.

Rappa: Rappa is the other premier Super Break damage dealer that can make great use of Harmony Trailblazer. Rappa can take advantage of all of Harmony Trailblazer’s kit components and even share elements with HMC, allowing them to both contribute to the breaking.

Boothill: Of the Super Break Damage Dealers, Boothill will enjoy the least impact from Harmony Trailblazer. This is mainly due to Boothill’s primary damage source not coming from Super Break but from breaking the enemies. Still, he has a lot of Toughness Damage and will gain benefits from the extra Break Effect and other buffs that HMC brings.
Harmony/Nihility

The Dahlia & Fugue: Fugue and The Dahlia are the premium Break Support units that offer both incredibly powerful Break-related mechanics and damage amplification. Generally, a modern Super Break or Break team will run both of these units, but HMC can be a substitute for one of them until the player can get the missing one.

Ruan Mei: Ruan Mei is essentially a free character, as most players can buy her from the shop, making her and HMC a very synergistic F2P duo to kickstart the Super Break team. Ruan Mei and HMC have natural synergy as one character that has teamwide Weakness Break Efficiency, while the other provides Super Break modifier that can make most Damage Dealers with high Toughness Break a Super Break Damage Dealer.
Sustainer

Lingsha / Gallagher: Lingsha and Gallagher are both Fire Break-centric Healers with very high Toughness Damage. Of the two, Lingsha is much more Skill Point-intensive, but has much better damage output and can even function as a main Super Break Damage Dealer, while Gallagher provides even more Skill Points and Energy to the team via Quid Pro Quo and Basic Attack spamming.
HSR Harmony Trailblazer Teams
The Super Break team is quite monotonous, and there is not much variance in general. Harmony Trailblazer will generally either take the place of Fugue or The Dahlia (whichever is missing) or as a third support around a primary Break Damage Dealer.
Standard Break Team

HSR Harmony Trailblazer Value
As they are completely free and support a quite relevant archetype, it is generally a good idea to raise them, especially for players looking to start playing Super Break units. Even when they get the meta characters for this archetype, like The Dahlia and Fugue, HMC will still have their use, either in a second Break team or for a sustain-less Break team.
For players who do not want to play Break or Super Break team, HMC can be safely skipped and save the resources for other characters.
