    S-Tier Helmet

    Loreley Splendor Helmet

This drops mid-gun fight and gives you a huge advantage especially when peek shooting to heal bit by bit mid-fight.

    S-Tier Gauntlet

    Citan’s Ramparts

These are fantastic to get area control as the shield still functions to take ground, but has the added benefit of being able to set up the shield about anywhere to push enemies off angles due to you being able to shoot them as they try to destroy the shield.

    S-Tier Legs

    Dunemarchers

Sprint speed for relocating is huge in PvP and the chain lightning ability is fantastic to hit multiple enemies, especially now that the titan has multiple mid-range melee options and ballistic slams which can kill 3 enemies if they are grouped.

    A-Tier Helmet

    One-Eyed Mask

The tracking is the big boost here. The overshield is nice as it gives half your total health worth in a shield.

    An Insurmountable Skullfort

Good for a hot swap and it’s a decent neutral game exotic. Can become real good if Arc 3.0 gives a strong melee option.

    A-Tier Gauntlet

    No Backup Plans

Void Titan is strong and this only adds to the shields it can get.

    Synthoceps

Great neutral game exotic for melees due to the lunge range. It has the added bonus of increased damage for melee and super when surrounded by 3+ enemies.

    A-Tier Chest

    Armamentarium

A very easy-to-use exotic with a solid effect. Not much to say for this one as it just gives you an extra grenade.

    Heart of Inmost Light

Can be used for some cheeky 1 hit kill setups but those can take more work than they are worth. The ability cooldown boost is always nice.

    Crest of Alpha Lupi

Makes barricade heal you and your teammates. Great utility to get back into a fight, and pairs nicely with bubble as it makes an extra orb which allows your teammates to get their longer cooldown supers sooner.

    A-Tier Legs

    Antaeus Wards

Great exotic for those who play shotguns. They are even very useful for general primary play when sliding around corners as you can bait a sniper shot or make the opponent miss their first primary shot to get an upper hand in a fight.

    Lion Rampant

These are S tier if you love using Dead Man’s Tale. These aren’t S tier in general because of how many weapons struggle with hip fire accuracy

    B-Tier Helmet

    Mask of the Quiet One

The ability regen and the healing is underwhelming. Not worth the slot especially if playing solar and you can use Loreley.

    Precious Scars

Nice in trials for the shield. The perk itself is rather limited for the health boost as your weapon needs to match your subclass.

    Khepri’s Horn

Gives a little boost to your barricade

    Eternal Warrior

An arc hot swap there. Makes you very tanky while in super as it gives overshield and prevents precision damage, but Skullfort is a better option as kills give health and extend the duration.

    B-Tier Gauntlet

    Wormgod Caress

This has potential, but the damage boost only lasts 5 seconds so it is quite hard to chain kills together.

    Ursa Furiosa

Hot swap for super if you want with these. Otherwise no use for them.

    Icefall Mantle

This exotic has a lot of potential if you are holding an area down, but it takes away your movement, prevents you from getting class ability cooldown, and takes away the utility of the barricade altogether.

    Doom Fang Pauldron

You can get your super quickly with this exotic which has become quite valuable due to the longer cooldown. The boost is only 10% on melee kill and it has to be a powered melee kill, the latter really hampers this exotic.

    ACD/0 Feedback Fence

You essentially win or trade every melee battle with these. Synthoceps are the better melee exotic.

    Ashen Wake

These turn fusion grenades into a better version of the hammer. It more or less leads to less diversity in your kit as it takes away a grenade that can be used for zone denial.

    B-Tier Chest

    Hoarfrost-Z

The cooldown benefit is real nice, but not being able to move through it is a huge detriment that the standard barricade allows you to do.

    Hallowfire Heart

This exotic is still essentially a worse version of Heart of Inmost Light. The only real benefit over HoIL is that this exotic gives 20 airborne effectiveness.

    B-Tier Legs

    Phoenix Cradle

Sunspots are rather minimally created in PvP, so the benefit of this exotic is rarely received.

    Peacekeepers

SMGs are in a good spot and this exotic does help them out. The issue is that this exotic isn’t game-changing for SMGs and do absolutely nothing for other guns.

    The Path of Burning Steps

Stasis isn’t rampant anymore so these get less value from that, and the damage is a bit tough to upkeep.

    Peregrine Greaves

The main utility of these in PvP is to flex on someone and Captain Falcon knee them out of a super.

    MK. 44 Stand Asides

The shield is nice, but it requires you to be full health, and shoulder charge, shield bash, and hammer strike no longer are a 1 hit kill, so this exotic took a hit.

    C-Tier Helmet

    Helm of Saint-14

Can be a swap exotic for bubble, but that is quite unnecessary as any other exotic is still active because bubble is an instant cast and it’s over.

    C-Tier Gauntlet

    Stronghold

You’re wasting heavy ammo if you pick it up to just block with a sword.

    Second Chance

    You get a second

    Aeon Safe

These do almost nothing in PvP, not worth the exotic slot.

    C-Tier Chest

    Actium War Rig

This only helps auto rifles, which are not meta, and the benefit it provides them is very minimal in terms of PvP. Machine guns are affected too, but you have to pick up ammo, and you don’t get enough ammo for the exotic to even activate.

    Severance Enclosure

Overall underwhelming. The AoE melee ability of Dunemarchers is vastly superior.

    Cuirass of the Falling Star

Extra damage on Thundercrash is just complete overkill, no need for this exotic in PvP.

    Exotic Armor Tier List Methodology

When ranking exotics the following criteria are taken into account:

    • Is the effect the exotic brings strong?
    • If the exotic is class, weapon, or element specific, is that respective class, weapon, or element strong that it is worth building around or does this exotic make that otherwise weak aspect strong?
    • Will the exotic have a lot of uptime in which the effect is active or usable?
      • If an exotic solely buffs a super it is taken into account that it can be swapped to for just a super, but is not rated as if the exotic is only used when super is casted due to the convenience of a hot swap to a certain exotic for a super and then a swap back.
    • Do other exotics perform a similar function or role better?
    • Is the exotic good in content that is both low and high difficulty?

    S Tier

    • Not necessarily a must use, but these exotics are the strongest and applicable to most if not all situations.

    A Tier

    • Slightly less strength and or use cases than S Tier. Some of these exotics are top options for particular situations and are good exotics for most situations.

    B Tier

    • Typically only fairly good unless a build solely revolves around the exotic, and even if that is done, the build is less than optimal or is only a good option in a very specific situation. These exotics are worth using if you have limited options otherwise.

    C Tier

    • These exotics are typically not worth the slot and their effect is either minimal or extremely niche.
