OP Junglers to Climb With in Patch 14.3

This article is now outdated. Here’s the updated list of best Junglers to climb with in Patch 14.3.

We’re into the third patch of 2024- how have you been finding the Jungle changes? Do you like prioritising the grubs or prefer the old Jungle? These changes and requirements to the Jungle role have made some champions popular in this patch of LoL.

In this Mobalytics article, we will discuss 5 of the best picks for the Jungle role in League of Legends. If you wish to master these champions or any others within the League of Legends roster, be sure to visit Mobalytics’ Champion Page..

Don’t see your favourite champion on our list? See where we rank them on the Mobalytics Tier Mobalytics Tier List for Patch 14.3.

    Graves

The first champion on our list is Graves. Graves is a fantastic champion for those who love ranged champions in League of Legends. He is one of the many strong Junglers who have benefited from the objective changes and item changes too. Graves is great at taking the new objectives, and because they’re so important, it makes him a great pickup this patch.

In League of Legends, you’ll increase your chances of winning games by playing champions who are good at solo carrying, and Graves is really good at solo carrying as he doesn’t rely on his allies compared to some Junglers. We know this because he is good in 1v1s, has a strong and healthy clear and has great objective control.

    Graves Mid-Patch Stats:

    • If you’re looking to pick up Graves this patch, there’s good news- they’re not getting nerfed!
    • Graves’ win rate in patch 14.2 was 51.3%.
    • He had a 12.5% Pick Rate.
    • He has a ban rate of 12.2%
    • In Emerald+, Graves was played 226,245 times.

    Briar

The next champion on our list is Briar, who has been quite a dominating force in LoL ever since she was released last year. What makes Briar so strong is that her skirmishing power makes her a big threat to anyone who tries to fight her alone. If you love to fight often, then Briar might be a solid pick to climb with this patch.

Briar’s kit is honestly overloaded. She has many good tools that make her great throughout all stages of the game. She has a good Ultimate that gives her global map pressure, and as her kit is strong, she can easily run enemy champions down who are over extended or are on low HP. She is great at abusing those week and immobile champions too.

    Briar Mid-Patch Stats:

    • Due to their recent strength, I am honestly surprised that Briar isn’t getting any changes this patch..
    • On patch 14.2, her win rate was 52.5%.
    • She had a 6.3% Pick Rate.
    • Briar has quite a high ban rate compared to some other Junglers in LoL with a 16.6% ban rate.
    • In Emerald+, Briar had a high play rate with 114,072 games played.

    Bel’Veth

The third champion on our list today is Bel’Veth. Like Briar, Bel’Veth has seen a dominating performance and has consistently been one of the best Junglers in LoL since she was released. As you may have noticed by now, every champion so far has great skirmishing power, and in the current meta of LoL, skirmishing potential is key.

Bel’Veth can 1v1 most champions, and all of the other meta Junglers right now. She can invade them early on, steal away their camps and delay their power spikes. After her first back, she can take the Void Grubs without the need of her team’s help.

    Bel’Veth Mid-Patch Stats:

    • Bel’Veth isn’t getting any buffs or nerfs this patch.
    • Her win rate in patch 14.2 was 51.2%.
    • She had a 4.1% Pick Rate.
    • Bel’Veth has a 9.3% ban rate.
    • In Emerald+, she was played 73,253 times.

    Ivern

Ivern is the only AP champion on our list, and he is a great versatile champion in LoL. With the growing popularity of Supports that deal damage, like Senna, Zyra, Xerath and Ashe, picking Ivern will ensure that your team has some form of peel, utility and healing to keep them alive for longer in team fights.

However, Ivern doesn’t do well into fed opponents and he will suffer if he tries to fight some other S-Tier Junglers, as he is more focused on providing sustain and protection. Sustain and prolonged team fighting is really popular in the current meta, even though a lot of burst and assassin champions are being played. So the longer you can keep your allies alive- the better.

    Ivern Mid-Patch Stats:

    • On patch 14.3, Ivern isn’t getting any buffs or nerfs.
    • Ivern had a win rate of 53.1%.
    • While he is a really good champion, he doesn’t get picked much. He’s only sitting at a 1.9% play rate.
    • Banning Ivern is basically useless, so he only had a 1.1% ban rate.
    • In Emerald+, Ivern was played 34,300 times.

    Nocturne

And so that brings us on to our final champion, who happens to be Nocturne. Nocturne is another skirmish-heavy Jungler who has great objective control. It is clear that objective control is very important, and picking Nocturne will allow you to easily pick up those objectives like the Void Grubs, Rift Herald and Dragons.

Even though we previously suggested that prolonged fights are quite popular, Nocturne is still amazing in them. First off, not every person groups with their team throughout all stages of the game. This is great for Nocturne as he can use his short-cooldown Ultimate to pick people off constantly. Then with the numbers advantage, his team can take the Baron or Elder Dragon.

    Nocturne Mid-Patch Stats:

    • Nocturne is not getting touched this patch.
    • Nocturne’s win rate in patch 14.2 was 51.4%.
    • He was really strong, so no wonder he had a 7.8% Pick Rate.
    • He sat at a 18.8% ban rate.
    • Nocturne was played 141,464 times in Emerald+ this patch.

    Final Thoughts

Like the previous patches of LoL, skirmish-heavy Junglers are very good on Patch 14.3. We hope these recommendations are champions you enjoy or already play so you don’t have to learn them from the ground up.
