Stats
Prioritize gear with Crit and Specialization for extra damage and clear speed while leveling. Swiftness is good to have but Endurance, Domination, and Expertise are useless stats.
Skills
Skills can be reset at any time at no cost. Prioritize skill points towards skills that let you clear mobs of monsters as quickly as possible on a low cooldown. Here are the most important skills.

Finish Strike
- 1-3-2
- Great single target damage or for clumped together groups of monsters.
Tempest Slash
- 3-2-1
- Great single target damage or for clumped together groups of monsters.
Hell Blade (Lvl. 20)
- 2-1-1
- Another good AoE clearing option.
Red Dust (Lvl. 36)
- 1-1-1
- Damage and applies a debuff for big burst windows.
Strike Wave (Lvl. 32)
- 3-1-1
- High damage AoE clearing option.

Whenever you have a few extra points left over:

- Extra mobility for moving around the map.

- Mobility and extra AoE Clearing.
