Atakhan Guide: Everything You Should Know About the New Summoner’s Rift Monster

    Atakhan New Monster Guide

The new League of Legends Season is already out and players have been slowly making their way back on to Summoners Rift. For those who may have taken a break from LoL over the winter, you may be surprised by a new epic monster that has appeared in the 2025 Season.

In this Mobalytics guide, we will break down the new epic monster, providing you with information on the newest epic monster- Atakhan! Keep your eyes peeled, as a new champion is also coming out soon, called Mel who is from Noxus. You can find the latest news regarding Mel on the Mobalytics Blog.

    What Is the New Objective

The new objective as an epic monster that comes out to play in either the top or bottom side of the map. This new objective is called Atakhan and provides a range of bonuses which makes it worth while for your team to try to execute her.

Depending on how many kills in the game and what side of the map has more kills, depends on where the objective spawns. If there are more kills in the top lane, then she will spawn top side and if there are more kills bot side of the map, then she will spawn in the bottom river.

For high kills game, Ruinous Atakhan will spawn, and for low kill games, Voracious Atakhan will spawn.

Each version provides different buffs, which we will talk about shortly.

    When Does It Spawn

Atakhan will spawn at the 20-minute mark and only spawns once per game. The version of which one spawns is decided by the 14-minute mark.

With this timer, a delay has been added to the Rift Herald and Baron Nashor.

    • The Rift Herald spawns at 16 minutes now instead of the 14-minute mark.
    • Baron Nashor now spawns at 25 minutes instead of 20 minutes.

These changes are impactful, but it’s not that big of a deal. It is not super common for teams to take Baron as soon as it spawns, so this delay isn’t too bad. The Rift Herald delay might be difficult for some players and can delay opening up the map.

    What Are the Bonuses

As suggested, there are 2 different versions of Atakhan.

For Ruinous Atakhan (high-kill gameplay), the team gets a 25% increase on all epic monster rewards and Blood Rose drops.

For Voracious Atakhan (low-kill gameplay), the team gets an additional 40 gold per champion kill, and a 150-second death mitigation effect.

After dying, you will go back to base and respawn. You still have a death timer, but it is not nearly as long as a normal death timer.

Blood Rose drops are permanent stacking bonuses that give bonus XP and adaptive force (AP or AD, depending on your champion).

    Who Benefits From the Bonuses

So, to start with, the whole team will benefit from the buffs. Regardless of which one your team gets, anyone can benefit from the bonuses.

However, the Blood Roses that will spawn if you destroy the Ruinous Atakhan can be picked up by anyone. Regardless of who picks them up, your whole team gets the bonuses, so don’t bother arguing or flaming your allies for picking them up instead of you.

The Roses are really good as your whole team can get hundreds of XP for free, which could make a difference in team fights and as the game develops.

    My Opinion on Atakhan

In all honestly, I think the new objective is pretty cool. It is nice to see them adding major objectives that the team can take.

I don’t think that missing this objective is the end of the world like missing out on Void Grubs or Baron, but I would highly recommend that you take them if you can. Teams should prioritise taking this objective as it can provide a lot of benefits.

    In Conclusion

In the new Season of LoL, there are a lot of changes. We’ve made separate articles that break down all the different changes. You can find them on the Mobalytics Blog. What do you think of the changes, particularly the introduction of Atakha? Let us know below.
