Street Fighter 6 DLC Characters List
Street Fighter 6 DLC characters will be annually added to the starting cast of 18.
The first Fighter Pass was revealed in a video from the developers.
It confirmed that Rashid, Ed, Akuma, and A.K.I. (an SF6 newcomer), would be joining the cast in 2023 and 2024.
So far, DLC characters are confirmed to be included in the World Tour Mode as well to let us learn more about their lore.
Here’s everything you need to know about them!
After a new DLC character has been released and we have a few weeks to study, test, and observe them in competitive play, they will be ranked on our Best Street Fighter 6 characters tier list.
Rashid – Summer 2023
- First Street Fighter Appearance
- Street Fighter 5
- TLDR Lore
- The eldest son of a Middle Eastern aristocrat who is traveling the world searching for a lost friend. Despite his ability to control the wind, he is very laid back and is a tech aficionado
- Playstyle
- Rashid is a mobile, unpredictable, and most of all, stylish fighter. He can literally mix up opponents in a tornado, has a signature curving projectile that can anti-air, and can close gaps easily with burst options.

A.K.I. – Fall 2023
- First Street Fighter Appearance
- Will be Street Fighter 6
- TLDR Lore
- Currently unknown since SF6 will be her first game, but with an acronym name, she may be a cyborg/android or some other “programmed” character. She may be F.A.N.G.’s protege.
- Playstyle
- A.K.I’s reveal art emphasizes her claws which we can use as a clue to her playstyle. She could be a potential new choice for Vega fans (if he doesn’t get his own roster slot) and will likely be a rush-down character. But who knows? Maybe Capcom could spice things up and make her a zoner/grappler. If she truly is F.A.N.G.’s protege, she will likely have a poison-related kit.
On the last night of EVO 2023, A.K.I.’s first teaser was revealed:
Ed – Winter 2024
- First Street Fighter Appearance
- Street Fighter 5 (playable), Street Fighter 4 (non-playable)
- TLDR Lore
- Balrog’s apprentice and M. Bison’s intended physical vessel, Ed certainly has a unique backstory. You’ll probably want to dive into a recap video for this guy.
- Playstyle
- A boxer with psychic capabilities – Ed provides a unique experience since he uses button taps and combinations to execute his specials. He’ll be a bit like Marisa but with more mobility and a bit of projectile play.
Akuma – Spring 2024
- First Street Fighter Appearance
- Super Street Fighter II Turbo
- TLDR Lore
- One of the signature villains of the Street Fighter franchise, Akuma is the younger brother (and killer) of Gouken, the master of Ryu and Ken.
- Playstyle
- As Gouken’s brother, Akuma naturally has some similarities to the movesets of Ryu and Ken. However, due to his indulgence in evil arts, Akuma typically has insane offensive power in exchange for lower health, making him a glass cannon.
How to Unlock Street Fighter 6 DLC Characters
Street Fighter 6 will be releasing new DLC characters every year for the foreseeable future. With the incredibly successful launch it had, we can probably assume that it will continue for a good while!
To get a Fighter Pass that includes all DLC fighters from a year, it is $29.99 as a standalone purchase.
If you purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate edition of SF6, your copy already includes Fighter Pass 1 (Rashid, A.K.I, Ed, and Akuma).
The price of an individual fighter (a la carte) hasn’t been revealed yet, but you can assume that it will definitely be an option to do so.
Lastly, if you aren’t sure if you want a fighter, SF6 will offer Rental Fighter pass that allows you to sample and try them before buying.
