All Playable Champions in LoL’s Swarm Anima Squad PvE Mode

The 9 Champions You Can Pick in the LoL Swarm Anima Squad PvE Mode

League of Legends Summer Event is a PvE Game Mode that is a game mode where you can play alone or with 3 other friends. In a League of Legends x Vampire Survivors-style game, you can play up to 9 different champions, each providing a different style and variation to your gameplay.

In this Mobalytics guide, we will discuss the 9 playable Swarm champions and how to play them. Before we break this guide down, the champions’ play styles are slightly different from those on Summoner Rift- and it’s not an exact 1 to 1 switch. This is due to there being Augments and upgrades, you not needing to aim enemies, and the limitation of certain champion abilities.

Be on the lookout for individual champion guides for each of the champions in Swarm, Operation Anima Squad soon! Stay tuned and up to date by checking out the Mobalytics Blog.

    1. Jinx

The first champion on our list that is playable in this game mode is Jinx. Jinx is one of the most popular champions in League of Legends, and she is a poster child of the game. We will see her again very soon with Arcane Season 2, which will come out on Netflix later this year.

Jinx is usually played in the ADC role, and she tends to be good regardless of ELO and meta. She is one of the easier ADCs to play, and her ability to carry is very high, especially when she gets a kill or two early on. Jinx works well with a lot of different Supports and champions that can peel for her. In this game mode, she can stick to tanks like Leona or Illaoi to keep her protected and healthy.

    2. Aurora

Aurora is going to be another playable champion in the Anima Squad PvE game mode. Unfortunately, she is not playable right now, as she isn’t out yet! However she will be making her debut to League of Legends on the same patch that this game mode is released.

She is an AP solo laner, who has good all-in potential and works really well with teams that love to team fight. Here at Mobalytics, we’ve created a lot of content for Aurora already, which you can find on the Mobalytics Blog.

    3. Seraphine

Seraphine is another popular champion, who can be played in multiple roles. However, unfortunately, she isn’t that good right now in Solo Queue, but she is available to play on this game mode. Let’s remind you that this game mode is separate to LoL, and champions aren’t exactly the same, so she will be a really good pick in this game mode.

In the PvE game mode, you must stick to your allies as often as possible. This will ensure that you can get kills while also being able to keep them alive (there’s power in numbers), which will help when taking down the waves of mobs coming your way.

    4. Yasuo

Yasuo is another fan-favorite champion in League of Legends. He is a very mobile champion who can be played in the Top, Mid, and ADC roles. In LoL, you tend to see Yasuo’s either pop off or be entirely useless. However, in this game mode, he can abuse his mobility to jump around and wreak havoc across the incoming waves.

Yasuo is normally a lone wolf in LoL, but this game mode is all about teamwork. To fully utilize Yasuo and his kit, your best chance is to stick with your team and avoid going too far away from them. If you do, you’ll probably reenact the 0-10 Yasuo you keep getting on your team in Solo Queue.

    5. Illaoi

We’re over half way into this article already, and the 5th champion on our list is another melee champion that can be played in the Top lane of League of Legends. In this game mode, she will abuse her Tentacles to dish out a ton of damage and kill all the mobs and incoming waves.

Illaoi will be played as a tank, but thanks to the Tentacles, she can still dish out a lot of damage. Make sure that if you’re playing Illaoi you stick with your team and play around your cooldowns to ensure you dish out a lot of damage and survive the skirmishes and rounds!

    6. Leona

Leona is the 6th champion of the list of playable champions in the PvE game mode. She is one of the 2 Supports people play on Summoners Rift. And just like on Summoners Rift, she will be played in the tank role in this game mode. She is intended to, not necessarily be the front line, but be a monster tank that can soak up a lot of damage and stay alive.

In this game mode, it is quite beneficial to group with your team. When picking Leona, you want to stand or be within range of all of your squishy allies. This will ensure that you can protect them and also revive them just in case they die.

    7. Xayah

Xayah is the second of the marksman players can play in this game mode. Xayah is really fun to play on Summoners Rift, but unfortunately, she isn’t an S-tier pick right now. Nonetheless, she is still a really good pick in the right hands. In the PvE event, players can utilize her feathers to dish out a ton of damage to incoming enemies.

While she can dish out a lot of damage, you’re going to want to play near your tanks like Leona (quite like Solo Queue in all honestly) as she is easy to take down when being attacked by wave after wave of enemies. Make sure you stick close to your team if you want to play Xayah in the PvE game mode!

    8. Riven

Riven is one of the hardest champions in League of Legends due to her Q. There are so many animation canceling required to play her well. This includes a lot of clicking and unique combos to make her damage output high. Thankfully, in this game mode, she isn’t as complicated and moving around on her won’t be as difficult.

She will be easier to play as there will be fewer combos to utilize. This is good as this game mode is honestly manic, so having fewer combos to worry about will make it be more enjoyable. None of the less, if you enjoy playing Riven, make sure you check out the links below.

    9. Briar

The final champion available to play is Briar. Briar is a really good Jungler in LoL and another strong champion in this game mode. If you love melee champions and love to kite, then Briar might be a champion you’d like to play!

She is one of the newer champions on our list, and she is also very popular. While there isn’t any “jungling” in this game mode, she is still a very fun champion to play and can be a really good pick if you want to play a melee champion.

    In Conclusion

And that sums up our article on the 9 main champions you can pick in Riot’s latest PvE event. Stay tuned as we create individual guides that break down each champion’s abilities and everything you need to know to give you an edge in the game mode.

But what do you guys think of the event? Is it going to be amazing, or do you think it will be dull and boring? Only time will tell, and I for one, can’t wait to try it on the PBE next week! Stay up to date with the latest news the Anima Squad Event with the Mobalytics Blog.
