5 Easiest Supports to Play in LoL for Season 14

The Support role is known as the easiest role to play in League of Legends. There are a variety of reasons for this, with one of them being the number of easy champions in the role. If you want to start to play the Support role, I would highly recommend that you pick an easy champion that is quite forgiving so you can understand the Support role as a whole.

In the final part of our 5 part series, let’s list 5 of the easiest Support champions in League of Legends. Picking one of these 5 champions will make you a better Support as you can learn the basics without getting thrown into the deep end.

    1. Janna

Janna is the first Support on our list. She is known to be one of the most simplistic champions in the game because of her ability to get stuff down with ease. Firstly, Janna’s W and E are point-and-click. This means you’re guaranteed to get the ability off on the target or ally 100% of the time.

Her Ultimate is extremely versatile and can be used to prevent all-ins and disengage whenever the enemy tries to kill her ADC. Naturally, this makes her a very good peeling Supports and she is especially strong in team fights and the laning phase.

If you’re interested in playing Janna, here are some things to get you started:

    • Guide
    • Counters
    • Combos

    2. Leona

Leona is another simple Support who has great carrying potential thanks to her being a tank with multiple forms of CC. This will allow you to make plays and apply pressure throughout all game stages.

Leona has a point-and-click ability with her Q, which means you’re always guaranteed to hit it on the enemy. Using this ability in conjunction with your E allows you to lock down any enemy who may have mispositioned. Don’t worry, though, after going in, your W will protect you as it gives you additional defensive stats that keep you safe.

Here are some things to get you started on playing Leona:

    • Guide
    • Counters
    • Combos

    3. Soraka

Soraka is a perfect beginner Support for anyone who wants to learn the Support role. She is a pure utility champion, meaning she just provides healing and protection to her allies.

During the laning phase, she will keep topping her ADC up on health with her W, and if she lands a Q on the enemy before using her W, the heal to her ally will not cost the Soraka any health. Unlike Janna or some other champions on our list, Soraka also has global map pressure with her Ultimate, which she can use to save allies elsewhere on the map.

Like the idea of peeling and protecting Supports? Here are some things to help you climb on Soraka:

    • Guide
    • Counters
    • Combos

    4. Sona

Sona is another good Support to play because of how easy and forgiving she can be. However, she is very squishy and will easily die if you overstep or play too aggressively. Her Ultimate is very versatile and is her only real skill shot, so if your accuracy isn’t up to par, then Sona might be the one for you.

A good Sona player is constantly bullying the enemy: playing around their Passive and empowered autos to win trades with the enemy. Post 6, a good Sona is also looking to make plays with her Ultimate to get herself and her ADC some kills.

Sona is very easy, but here are some additional resources:

    • Guide
    • Counters
    • Combos

    5. Milio

Milio is the final champion on our list. He is one of the newest Support champions and incredibly easy to play. I love that in late 2023 and 2024, Riot created champions with simple kits.

What makes Milio so easy is that his abilities are very easy to understand, and this is crucial for any beginner. His Q is his only skill shot, and his other abilities are easy as they’re basically point-and-click. One thing I really like about Milio is his auto-attacks, which are really nice and clean. Unlike some of the other champions, his kit and champion playstyle is just so fun.

Here are some Milio guides to help you get started:

    • Guide
    • Counters
    • Combos

    Conclusion

That about sums up the 5 easiest Supports in League of Legends. Do you think there are easier Supports in League of Legends or are these the easiest? Let us know!
