5 Best Duos for League of Legends Arena Mode in Season 14

Top 5 Best Duos For Arena Mode in Season 14 LoL

Arena Mode has returned, and what a comeback it has made! It is back and better than ever, with more teams, better maps, and a fresh set of Augments to empower your champions. This two-player game mode consists of two players teaming up to battle many other teams to become victorious.

As you’re playing 1 with another person, and every battle is 2v2, it is important that you pick a champion that has good synergy with your allie’s champion, or else it will be really hard for you to win. It doesn’t make sense for you to pick a champion that doesn’t synergise well with your allies!

In this Mobalytic’s article, we will discuss 5 of the strongest duo pairings you could be abusing in Arena Mode right now. Our recommendations have incredible synergy with one another, and a very high win rate when they’re picked together. You can find other strong Arena Mode picks by heading to the Mobalytic’s Arena Mode Tier List.

    1. Trundle and Veigar (29.7% win rate)

The first duo on our list consists of Trundle and Veigar. These two work incredibly well together, and have the highest first place of any duo with a staggering 29.7%. If you want to keep winning those games, why not give them a try together?

What makes this duo so deadly is their ability to set each other up. Trundle can push the enemy into his allies’ cage, making it impossible for the enemy to dodge. While they are CC’d, both of them can attack the enemy uncontested.

Both Trundle and Veigar have really good Augments, and the longer the game goes, the stronger the two of them will be. Veigar will get a ton of additional AP from the Augments and his q, while Trundle will get more sustain and be able to auto-attack more.

    2. Galio and Lillia (28.5% win rate)

Galio and Lillia are both incredibly strong in Arena Mode right now. In fact, both of these champions are on our list of the 5 Best Picks for Arena Mode in 2024. This duo has a combined win rate of 28.5%%, meaning you have a high chance of getting first place if you pick them with a friend.

These two synergize incredibly well. While Galio will not be dealing that much damage, he can provide a lot of protection to keep Lilia alive through his built-in CC and his Ultimate. Lilia will be dealing a lot of damage with her basic attacks, her Q and her W. Once they both unlock their Ultimates, they will be hard to kill.

Not every champion has amazing Augments, but these two do. The longer the game goes, the more AP Lilia will get and the stronger she will be in skirmishes. And Galio will get a lot of shielding and additional defensive stats whenever he uses a CC tool.

    3. Trundle and Brand (28% win rate)

Our next pairing has an amazing win rate of 28% when picked with one another. These champions are Trundle and Brand. Just like our previous champions, these two have really good augment options and have a lot of ways they can become stronger as the rounds go on.

The longer the game goes, the stronger they will be. Brand will deal lots of damage and have penetration, while trundle will be tanky and deal a lot of damage too. When it comes to committing to fights, the two of them work wonders together thanks to their combined Ultimates.

There are quite a few tanks being played in this game mode right now, and Brand and Trundle are known as tank busters due to Trundle’s Ultimate and the magic pen that Brand buys. If the enemy has a lot of sustain (built-in or purchased), the two of them can counter it quite easily, which will reduce the chances of the enemy out-sustaining their damage output.

    4. Galio and Kayn (27.5% win rate)

I have personally played against this matchup so many times in the past day that it is extremely frustrating. This dynamic duo, which consists of Galio and Kayn, has a 27.5% win rate together. The amount of CC they can layer on top of one another makes it very difficult for you to actually deal damage or kill one of them.

They both have really good Augments, which makes Kayn deal a lot of damage and Galio really tanky and hard to kill. The additional shielding Galio can receive makes it impossible for you to kill him, as he can gain a shield when he CC’s a champion. Kayn we’ll have lethality and armor pen, so he can break through those tank matchups defensive stats.

Kayn can abuse his E and Ultimate to make incredibly strong and obnoxious plays. With there being so many walls, he can get somewhat infinite sustain, and then he can also use his Ultimate to dodge damage and become untargetable.

    5. Brand and Vi (26.8% win rate)

The final pairing is somewhat uncommon, but that doesn’t make it any less worthy of mention. This pairing includes Brand and Vi. Brand is one of the stronger Champions on our list and also featured in our 5 strongest picks for Arena Mode article. Vi, on the other hand, is not a popular pick.

Both of these champions are really good at destroying those tanky matchups that you will come up against over and over again. We won’t go into detail about Brand’s benefits as we’ve already discussed that previously, but Vi is the ultimate tank buster, especially when she has some of those strong synergy Augments.

This duo has a 26.9% win rate together, and they are really strong at isolating and taking down one target. Vi can just lock on to the easier enemy to kill, and then Brand can follow that up with his insane burst and AOE damage.

    In Conclusion

That about sums up our article on the 5 best duos you can pick and abuse in Arena Mode in 2024. What duos do you like playing with your friends, and which champions do you absolutely hate playing against? Personally, I hate playing against any team composition that has Galio in it as he is so strong with the Shield Augment and tons of crowd control. That’s why Galio is a great ban in Arena Mode!

If you want to see what other champions are strong together, make sure you head over to the Mobalytic’s Arena Mode Tier List for all the data you would need for Arena Mode in Season 14.
